Yoga and Meditation Classes

This form of yoga is a blend of yoga postures, breathing, meditation, relaxation, chanting and somatic movement. Somatic movement concentrates on releasing tight muscles by helping us to recognise where tension is held in the body. By highlighting these areas and exploring a more efficient way of moving the body, we can practice yoga postures more mindfully, while embracing our limitations. Through awareness, regular practice and mindful movement we learn to release tension from the body, stress from the mind, balance the emotions and get a sense of wellbeing on all levels - physical, mental emotional and spiritual. Working from the inside out, the body becomes stronger, more flexible and relaxed; emotions move towards balance and the mind finds stillness, resulting in a blissful state of FreedOm.
All my yoga sessions are mixed ability, but I would encourage some prior experience if you decide to join. If you haven’t worked with me before and you are not sure what to expect, please contact me to discuss whether my classes are suitable for you.
PRACTICALS
• Create a safe and self-welcoming space by going somewhere quiet, giving yourself enough room to move and lighting a candle, incense stick or anything else that feels appropriate to you.
• You can join the yoga sessions 10 min before the start time and relax and listen to the calming sounds that will be playing.
• Have a yoga mat, a blanket, a ball (tennis ball or similar size), a strap (or belt), blocks or cushions and some water nearby, ready to use if needed.
• Place your camera in a position that will optimize my view of your body and look after yourself by moving mindfully and considering any injuries and issues present.
• I can support you in finding a healthy way to move your body, but the responsibility of avoiding injuries is yours.

This class is a blend of yoga, somatics, working with the breath and relaxation.

One-to-One Classes
In addition to online Yoga classes I am also offering online one-to-one Yoga sessions via zoom
Zoom 30 minutes - minimum donation £15
Zoom 1 hour - minimum donation £30
The class can be tailored to suit your specific needs and you can work in the comfort of your own home.
I also offer online classes for small groups of friends (maximum 6 people) who would like to work together. Prices are dependant on the number of attendees. Please contact me to find out more.
